Roadtrip Nostalgia! In the 50s and 60s piling the family into the trusty station wagon (no SUVs back then) and taking off to see the USA was a hoped for vacation. Maybe it was to the mountains or the beach. Maybe it was to National Parks in different states but whatever no one could return without a souvenir to show the poor souls back home who weren't as lucky. While your stinky brother bought pen knives with the destination name ( yes, indeed) and mom bought souvenir spoons, the ultimate was a sterling silver charm to show where you had been and could wear everyday during the school year.
Each charm was a pictorial of the order place.
Here are two different Minnesota charms, Nebraska, Hawaii, Barbados and Freeport. Each a lovely picture.
