Product code: John 3:30 He must become greater and I must...E01 Pottery Pitcher / Bible Verse Pottery / Spiritual Gift / Wedding Gift / Anniversary Gift order

This / handmade / textured pottery vase was inspired by Bible verse, John 3:30 The pitcher has the following beautiful words stamped around the pitcher:

Side 1:
Pour me out!
Less of me!

Side 2:
Fill me up!
More of you!

This pitcher is created with a porcelain clay that fires white, covered with a clear
glaze on the outside to make it shine. The inside is glazed with floating blue, and finished with a red thumb hold and finished with a golden rim. The pitcher is 7 inches tall and the opening is 3 1/2 inches across. God has spoken to me about the meaning behind each of these pitchers. The inside is blue like water, and in John 4:13-14 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life. The red thumb print symbolized Jesus's blood, Jesus covers us with his blood and makes us clean, pure, white, like snow, as the outside of the mug is white. I pray that when you use this pitcher it not only satisfies your physical thirst but brings Jesus into remembrance as you go about your day and all he has done for us, his daily sacrifice to set the example for us to follow.

Below will come with each Golden rimmed Pottey Item

Dear receiver of this golden rimmed pottery,

Here is a special gift for you, a piece of my handmade pottery. God has revealed to me a lot of how he works with us through pottery.

From Jeremiah 18 “This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD "Go down to the potter's house, and there I will give you my message. So I went down to the potter's house, and I saw him working at the wheel. But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him. Then the word of the LORD came to me: "O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does?" declares the LORD. "Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand”.

These verses I share because this is the first time God first spoke to me about my pottery, I was up working all night on pottery and the vase I was working on became disfigured in my hands and I was disappointed and took the clay and reformed it, and the end result was you could never tell that the pottery was ever damaged. God said to me, Shawn did I not do the same thing to you, you were broken and damaged, and I smoothed you out, now like clay in the hand of the potter, so you have been in my hands.

With this pottery, it has been shaped and formed, just as we have been shaped and formed by our heavenly father. The unique thing with this piece of pottery is the golden rim, this is an additional step, this pottery has been through the firing process 3 times. With ceramic chemistry the firing process involves building crystals with time & temperature. The heat & time, take clay, and turn it into ceramic, your actually growing cristobalite and silica crystals. The more time and higher temperature the stronger the structure, they create a lattice when the crystals grow which makes them be water tight. In addition, you can tell the integrity of the clay, how high of a temperature it has went through by the sound it makes when it is hit. With a low firing, very few crystals have formed, when the pottery is hit it makes a dud sound, but when fired to a high temperature it makes a beautiful ting sound. God spoke to me about this that the trials and difficulties we go through in life, when we have been through more firings, greater trials, when we are hit with difficulties, disappointments, hardships, we make a more beautiful noise. We know that even though things may not be the way we order want, because of these things, God is making us into his beautiful vessels, that simply cannot be made any other way. Through this, our faith increases, and we make a joyful noise, knowing God works all things together for good.

The first initial firing, is at a relatively low temperature 1800 degrees, which turns the brittle clay into solid stone. Although it is stone, it has only grown enough crystals and the lattice is such to make it a solid structure but not yet water tight. The second firing is to a higher temperature, the glaze firing, in which both the glaze and clay body form a stronger crystal lattice making the pottery watertight and a glossy shiny finish.

After each firing the pottery is completely changed, never to go back the way it was. Just like with us the more times we go through the fire, the trials of life, the crystal lattice with God becomes stronger and the more intertwined our structure is. For this pottery to be used for it's intended purpose it needs to go through the fire, to be the vessel it was created to be. Just like with us, God knows that we all have to go through the trials, and difficulties in life to become the vessel we were created to be. It is the Lord our creator who gives us our purpose, and enables us to fulfill our destiny. When this pottery went through the firing, I was right there monitoring the process; the temperature, the fuel and air supply, the color of the flame, all of these processes, I am intrinsically involved in. God does the same thing with us, he never leaves us and is always there in the midst of the fire, in the midst of life's trials, he is with us.

Now, this pottery as I mentioned before has a golden rim, this is special & unique, only allowed to be placed on the vessel after 2 times through the firing process. Without the Golden rim the pottery can still be used for the intended purpose, but to make it shine a little brighter it needs a third firing. So I continued to work with the finished product, applying a coat of Gold luster, and once again, going through the firing process to bring out the brilliance of the golden rim.

God spoke to me about this, that the Golden rim is only for those who have been through the firing before, it is a special touch that makes it shine brighter. I bring this point up that when we are being used by God, sometimes he just wants to add to us, a golden rim, and make us shine a little brighter for him. I feel God wanted me to share, and tell you that he is making you shine a little brighter for him. Through the struggles, through all of your efforts, he is adding a golden rim to you, and he is right along side you with all that you do. God bless.
