At SRK Designs, all of our handmade, one of a kind creations are crafted using natural gemstones and precious metals. The metal components are rough cut to size and edges smoothed using files and rotary grinding tools to create the final shape. Steel wool is used to smooth and buff the edges, corners and all surfaces of the component. All focal pieces then receive a natural patina finish produced by using the fume or flame technique enhanced by the use of common household chemicals. Patinas may vary from side to side on the focal pieces. For multi-layer creations, pieces are joined using cold connections made with rivets constructed from wire to provide a unique keepsake piece of artisan jewelry.
