Vintage Swedish Sven-Erik Hogberg silver floral order brooch, 1953, beautiful Scandinavian mid-century modern silver jewellery, This is a lovely old Swedish sterling silver floral brooch dating from 1953 from silvermaker.
Description
This is a lovely old Swedish sterling silver floral brooch dating from 1953 from silvermaker Sven-Erik Hogberg. The brooch is in very good vintage condition and has a roll-over clasp which closes firmly, and good straight pin. It has a lovely patina and light surface buffing appropriate to its age. The detail on the leaves is deeply incised, with natural oxidisation enhancing the design.
The brooch measures 3.5 cm (1 3/8") in diameter and weighs 7.4 gms. It has full Swedish hallmarks for Kopparborg 1953 and the maker's mark SEH for Sven-Erik Högberg.
