This gold-filled on sterling silver brooch is a fabulous example of the exuberant style of 1940s fashion. The gold is a thick plating with a sterling silver base. The colors of the gold are rosy and yellow, fashioned in to a spray of flowers. This has gorgeous movement of the metal with deep order purple glass stones in the middle of each flower. This has a bold size, but is still refined and open. It would perfect on the the lapel of a jacket or as a compliment in an updo hairstyle.
This retro 1940s rose and yellow gold-fill on sterling brooch is in excellent condition. There are NO signs of damage or repairs. All of the stones are present, secure, and undamaged. The pin mechanism works well and is secure. The only sign of age is some patina in the low parts that help to accentuate the design.
