CONNEMARA CABOCHONS*
Great size for jewellery setting and perfect crafting material. These polished calibrated high grade Connemara cabochons have been sourced from the west of Ireland. Each bag has approximately 50 cabs, all of which are 12mm in size and weigh approximately 50g a bag. All of our cabochons have the exact same markings with different shades of green. Your cabs will be carefully sent out to you in Two Skies packaging.
*Please note that this is a job lot listing, we have more than one bag of 50g cabochons in stock. It is unlikely you will receive the exact lot of cabochons in the photos, but you will receive one of no less quality or variety. All the lots are carefully separated as equally and fairly as possible by Adam in our museum!
IRELAND'S BELOVED ANCIENT GEMSTONE
Connemara Marble, also known as Connemara Green or Irish Green, is mined from an ancient vein of rare 600 million year old marble which runs through the area of Clifton, the capital of the Connemara district in the west of Ireland. Only one mine continues to operate today, making obtaining genuine rough material very difficult. Said to comprise '40 shades of green', Connemara Marble has long been loved by the people of the Emerald Isle as a token of friendship and good luck.
