This is painted exclusively with a palette knife to give a thick textured impasto three-dimensional paint surface. A genuine artist quality original oil painting that has a texture and lustre that other mediums cannot hope to reproduce, it is far more impressive when seen in the flesh.

FRAMING
- It is sold without a frame ready to hang with a loop on the back or it will stand leaning on a shelf.
- I generally sell paintings without a frame to save on shipping charges and to allow you to choose a frame to suit your décor.

FRAMING YOURSELF
Firstly my paintings are usually standard sizes and are painted on 6mm thick MDF. This means order they are easy and cost-effective to frame using off the shelf frames. These off the shelf frames generally come with glass and a backing board, discard/repurpose these as they are not needed*. Then insert your painting in their place. Finally, add a cord either with a staple gun or screw loops.
*Oil paintings are very durable and do not need protecting behind glass, indeed the glass obscures the texture and three-dimensionality of an oil painting.
Alternatively, take your painting to your local framer and they will advise on the best way to frame your painting. This is a more expensive option but will bring out the best in your painting.

- The modern artists quality oil paints I use have an excellent permanence rating and will not fade even if hung in direct sunlight.
- Varnished to produce a durable and hardwearing surface. An oil painting such as this should not be framed behind glass it will spoil the texture and three-dimensional quality that sets oil paintings above other mediums. If over time the surface becomes dusty it can be gently wiped with mild soapy water.
- Painted on gesso primed MDF board means it is much more durable than a painting on canvas or paper.

Please note the colour of the painting will not exactly match that displayed on your monitor. This is due to the relative calibration of your monitor my monitor and the camera. Having said that the painting in the flesh is far more impressive than the image on your screen.
