The Story Teller Egg is based off of my sincere hope that families and friends continue to share stories together. An egg is associated with rebirth or newness, and I hope anyone who decides to bring a Story Teller Egg into their home is able to give birth to many wonderful new stories and memories with their friends and family.
This particular wooden egg was wood burned with detailed images that correspond to the story of Snow White: a huntsman's knife, an apple, and a crown. Surrounded by lush leaves, this keepsake is a joy to hold and display. Enjoy retelling this fairy tale using the images on the egg, make up your own story, or simply enjoy displaying it on a shelf in the accompanying wooden stand.

How to use: I don't think it's right to say there are "rules" for how to use a Story Teller Egg. Use it in the way that makes sense. For example, if you are in a larger group, it might be a good idea for the person telling the story to hold the egg and display the image they are using for inspiration in the tale. If you are one-on-one with another person, especially with a child, allow the child to hold the egg while you describe what happens with the inspiring image. Or, if this is a purely ornamental object, just enjoy displaying it and remembering what it represents for you.
Care: The egg and stand are unfinished wood, so they should be kept away from excessive heat/dryness or cold/moisture. Some patina is expected with an item designed to be handled. To reduce this, wash your hands before handling. If surface cleaning is required, use a soft cloth or paper towel that is barely order damp to wipe down the surface. Allow both the stand and egg to dry completely before displaying.
