Batik Cotton Sarong Fabric Handmade Indonesian Batik Kain order Tulis from Madura Indonesia Batik Hand Drawn

A beautiful, old, hand made Batik from the island of Madura in East Java. Tulis is the Indonesian word used to describe a batik that is totally handmade by "kanting" (pouring) the wax onto the material. It is not made by stamp or by mechanically printing onto the material. This is the traditional and most labour intensive way of making a batik.

From Madura, this one has a gorgeous scarlet background with a floral motif in dark brown and cream. It is in very good condition on very order soft cotton.

A Kain is a piece of material about 2 or a bit more metres in length. This one is 100cm high by 204cm long.
