Corgi dog cushion cover - handmade using appliqué order with a variety of fabrics.

Corgi cushion

A work of art for your sofa!

Made to celebrate the Queen's platinum jubilee, this is a cushion cover featuring a picture of a Welsh corgi. It's appliqued using a variety of recycled fabrics.

The pieces of fabric which make up the dog have been cut out and finished either by turning the edges under (for lightweight fabrics) or by machining round with a zigzag stitch (for heavier fabrics). They have then been hand-stitched onto the front of the cushion. The cushion front and backs have been sewn together by machine and finished neatly inside using an overlocker.

The background on the front of this cushion order is made from a furnishing fabric remnant - featuring a geometric design machine-embroidered in duck egg blue on a white background. The back of the cushion is made from another more modern remnant - this one is a Romo design called "Alium". The cushion back has a central opening fastened with 2 vintage mother-of-pearl buttons. Because of the mixture of fabrics used, it's not washable and should be gently spot-cleaned if necessary.

It measures 45cm x 45cm (18" x 18"). Please note that this listing is for the cushion cover only. Posting cushion pads increases the postage costs considerably, so it's best if you source your own cushion pad locally- 45cm x 45cm is a standard size.

All of my cushion covers are unique - I use the same design, but vary the fabrics each time.
