Antique Moss Rose Mug, order Coffee or Shaving, M & Co. Minton Iron Stone China Mid 1800's

order This is an antique Iron Stone China Moss Rose mug, coffee or shaving, by M & Co. (Minton) This mug is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or signs of repair. There is faint crazing with light staining. This Minton mark was used in the period between 1841 and 1873. Very cool. That means it is possible and very probable that this mug was in use during the Civil War. I always find it amazing when I reflect on what stories some of these objects could tell. The gold band around the bottom is in good condition and the gold on the handle shows minor loss. This is a great mug to collect and display showing only minor signs of use.
