This vintage summerweight or lightweight see through lightly worn Ro silk Japanese order Kimono has a lovely design of red iris flowers and leaves on a lovely cream semi-sheer silk background. It's in very good vintage condition with one faint smudge on a sleeve - see closeup. Note this is see-through, unlined and semi-sheer! Great for a boudoir robe, traditional kimono or shortened this is my favorite summer jacket over tank tops for a bit of extra coverage and evening warmth. This is a simply darling kimono in very good condition. Delicate, feminine and Pretty!! A great gift for her. I will shorten this to a jacket for you for an added charge of $10 if desired - it makes a great coverup with a swing-jacket style.

Ro silk is favored for outer kimono in the hot humid summers of Japan and are worn there over a silk under-kimono. It's a great style that has survived for hundreds of years; this can be worn as a boudoir kimono and would make an elegant bathrobe or dressing gown. I recommend careful dry cleaning unless you know Japanese kimono silk washing.
