Southwest Mesa Twist Pen in Pewter Made from order Zebrawood

This beautiful southwest mesa-style pen, with geometric patterns inspired by southwest Native American weaving patterns, features a pewter finish and was hand-turned using an exotic Zebrawood. This is a ballpoint twist-style pen with a locking refill mechanism that accepts Parker-style refills. Before final assembly, we finished it using a combination of sand paper and an ultra-shine sanding wax, then treated with three coats of a high-quality friction polish and a final coat of Renaissance wax for a long-lasting and durable finish.

Renaissance wax was developed by the British Museum specifically for the restoration and preservation of precious works of art. It is a semi-synthetic micro-crystalline fossil-origin wax completely free of damaging acids. This wax is highly moisture-resistant, forming a lustrous, durable, and protective coating that highlights order (rather than obscures) fine detail. The coating also creates a barrier against fingerprints and lifts away oil and dirt.
