Mai Mun Ebony or ‘Moon Ebony' most commonly comes from Laos and Vietnam. It has outspoken differences between its light and dark streaks, often a deep green-black on a caramel coloured background. It is amongst the most stable of ebony's in crafting. Mai Mun Ebony has a straight grain with a fine texture and its density allows for a naturally high polish.
