JOURNEY: Second to the right and straight on ‘til morning…your adventure awaits. The scent begins with a fresh interplay of land and sea. The gin accord, based around juniper and citrus, brings an effervescence, while cardamom adds a subtle spice to the wooden heart. The sea winds weave between the other notes, carrying the gin's aroma across the deck. As dusk falls on the lagoon, the sky paints the water in shades of amber. The gin never stops flowing in this lost land.

INSPIRATION: This fragrance began after watching an older movie where the main character travels to a long lost land to rescue his children. I used to watch this movie in the 90's and the scene where he is pulled up by a giant clam to look out over this lost land always stuck with me. The pirate ship to the left, the snowy mountains in the distance and so much adventure all in this one scene. The pirate ship always caught my imagination and after watching this movie decades later, I decided to create a scent that could transport us there. It is definitely one of my most loved creations so far.

Each cruelty-free fragrance from For the Scent of It is crafted by hand with care using only responsibly sourced materials. Every fragrance is created from scratch one material at a time and each is diluted to high “Eau de Parfum” strength. There are no phthalates, parabens, dyes, and ABSOLUTELY NO pre-made, inexpensive “fragrance oils”. Each bottle is filled by hand in small batches making each bottle feel uniquely special order during the process. Each bottle is shipped in eco-friendly packaging that can be reused or recycled (the drawstring bag surrounding the bottle may be reused for whatever you see fit). So often a perfume is purchased and the box just sits there or gets thrown out. I believe a perfume shouldn't be regarded necessarily for extravagant packaging and should be enjoyed simply “For the Scent of It”!
