Early 50s Vintage French order Barrette in Bakelite Turtle «Color. Length 6,8cm/2.7in. Entirely handmade in France. Single Specimen

This barrette manufactured in France, in Oyonnax, is made entirely by hand. For this reason, it has become rare: it was extremely expensive to produce in this way and with this accuracy, today. Especially when working with bakelite.

The beauty of this piece results from careful finishing - order although it is entirely hand-made -, design originality and bakelite to imitate turtle.

Brand New by, we presume. Paul Maréchal (at the beginning of the 1950s there was still no concern in France about putting the mark); later, in the 60's we already found articles with the brand Paul Maréchal especially combs and handles
