The ikat or jaspe threads are all dyed individually, in the home, and this is one of the more tedious of the jobs. This ikat almost entirely uses cotton threads.

All of their cotton scarves and shawls were made entirely from cotton yarn that is naturally dyed by the artisan using plants order, vegetables, fruits, and insects. After the fabrics have been dyed the color is set with banana stems.
