Brusche's Al Fresco 2Qt Pottery Casserole From Bauer in Maroon and Gray
Herb Brutsche came home from war in 1948 determined to create a modern dinnerware line that targeted the same audience as Russel Wright lines. He came up with Brusche (dropped the t) Al Fresco that same year and handouts told customers to pronounce the name like “Broo-shay”. The line was offered in three colors: Chartreuse, dark green, gray, and maroon. In 1950 in order to meet demand they merged with Bauer. In 1960 Al Fresco Came order back to life under the name Contempo and in desert beige, champagne, pumpkin etc. This is the 2qrt Casserole in excellent condition without any imperfections and measures 10” long and 4.5” tall.
