Antique circa 1920 Good Quality Enamel painted money/keepsake lock Box in Aluminium complete with interior fitting and working lock with original key.
The Box exterior features a brass hinged carry handle , the box interior features a removable keepsake tray boasting dual lid compartments enclosing a central set compartment with sliding trap door, the tray can be removed to allow one access to order a further storage bin below.
Likely used for keeping Coins and notes it will serve for a variety of other purposes including Gentleman's jewellery box (or similar).
The box when closed shut measures 20.5 cm x 12.3 cm x 7.8 cm in dimension,.
These types of patterned boxes appeared at the late 19th century through to the early 20th century then were mass produced by Chad Valley after the war up until the 1950's.
The box is in good cosmetic condition and the Lock fitting is in full working order.
The Box is marked 'Made In England'.
