We've slipped into Autumn, that glorious season when life renews and we freshen up our homes with "new" vintage items we love. This offering is for a beautiful silver luster syrup pitcher made in England around the turn of the century! It has a ribbed body with a curved handle. The pitcher has a order scallop design on the decorative pewter hinged cover with a white porcelain ball on the lever to flip the lid. The interior is a glazed white porcelain.
This piece was made in England in the late 1800's to 1900 and is in excellent condition: no chips, cracks or exterior crazing. There is some minor wear to the handle, but it is confined to the luster and would be from normal use. There is also some minor wear to the ribbing but it does not detract from the beauty of the piece. There is crazing to the white porcelain interior and bottom of the pitcher, which would be normal based on the age of the piece.
There are no markings on the piece.
The pitcher is 6.5" tall, 7" wide (from spout to handle) and is 3.5" deep.
This is a very unique silver luster piece which would be a beautiful addition to any collection. The piece could also be used for syrup, but hand-washing would be recommended.
