Lovely hand painted polychrome Gouda Regina miniature clog. Art Deco period, 1940's-1950's. Abstract design, polychrome matte finish. Art Pottery, Gouda, Holland, the Netherlands. Signed.
Excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Wear consistent with age and use. Marks found on bottom of shoe, Regina, Lydia, etc.
Great patina, lovely colors.
Measurements: length 3 3/4 inches - - width 1 1/2 inches and height 1 1/2 inches

I began collecting miniature shoes years ago and have received a great deal of enjoyment from them. Some have been in cabinets, others on a chair-rail shelf and rotated out and back. I'm dating this piece to the 1940's - may be a bit earlier or a bit later.
It's never too late to develop a curiosity. Why order am I fascinated by shoes, either shoes I'm wearing or miniature shoes? I've tried to answer that question many times and have never come to an answer that explains it.
