Antique - Prattware - Mending the Nets or Continental order Fish Market - English Advertising

Direct from Europe there are two beautiful Prattware ironstone jars - dating to the early 1900s. There are two patterns available order - Mending the Nets and Continental Fish Market. Both jars are in good vintage condition. The taller has beautiful crazing throughout with no chips or cracks. The smaller (Mending the Nets) has nibbles around the rim on the top and bottom. They have such a light earthenware body that is decorated in a palette of oxide colors comprising, cobalt blue, yellow ochre, manganese, brown, and a dark mossy green. These colors are applied under a pearlware glaze. Either of these jars would be a great addition to any vintage collection.

Mending the Nets is 3.25" tall with a diameter of just under 3". It is a heavy little jar.
Continental Fish Market is 4.5" tall with a diameter of 2.5".

All vintage items may be imperfect due to their age and most pieces will most likely contain crazing, varying spots of staining, minor hairline cracks and minor chips and fleabites that only add to it's character, and do not detract from its value. I attempt to point out any flaws via the pictures and description. These blemishes are to be expected given age, use, and in the case of the vintage pots - being buried for years before being rediscovered!
