Vintage Solid Brass / Cast Metal order Eagle Head Bust Bookends (made in India)

Vintage Solid Brass / Cast Metal Eagle Head Bust Bookends (made in India). These are very heavy, weighing nearly 3 pounds each. They seem like brass, but I order am not 100% sure because there is a little bit of silver around the bottom edges like they are made from some other heavy metal that has been covered in a gold or brass-colored coating - could be cast aluminum or something else - I am not sure. Anyhow, each bookend measures about 6.25" tall, just over 4" long, and just over 2" wide. They have beautifully sculpted eagle heads to guard your favorite books or use for decor. One is missing the felt on the bottom; the other has a sticker that says "Made in India." There are a few minor scuffs and scratches, and that little bit of silver near the bases on both (see photos), but they are in otherwise very good vintage condition.
