Vintage early 1940s Tailored Crepe Black Dress | to 42 order Bust | Volupe | 1940s dress

Vintage early 1940s beautiful tailored black crepe dress with contrasting stitching. This simple dress has so much class. From the 3 self-covered two-tone buttons to the to the flat pleating that is a striking feature all the way from the bodice to the hem. Princess neckline with a snap closure which opens to the first button. Slightly gathered above the bust line with very subtly puffed shoulders. Sleeves to the wrist and gathered and finished with a cuff which closes with two snaps.

Two darts in the back at the skirt. There are 7 kick pleats 9.5 inches from the front hem. Would look lovely with a belt. Stunning dress with very little wear. Original metal zipper was were replaced by me with a nylon one as half the teeth had fallen out of the original one (see pics).

C O N D I T I O N :
Excellent. Only real flaw is that the original metal zipper was replaced by me. as older metal one had half of it's teeth missing. Sold AS IS.
