100 YEARS of RAILROAD order CARS and 100 Years of Steam Locomotives by Walter A Lucas - 1958 - Simmons Boardman Publishers

This is a set of 2 excellent history books that document the first 100 years of Passenger and Freight Car development; as well as the order first 100 years of Steam Locomotive Train development. Both books were written and edited by Walter A. Lucas in 1958. The first book is called: 100 YEARS OF RAILROAD CARS and contains pictures and drawings from more than 200 freight and passenger cars from "Car Builders' Cyclopedia and Railway Age files.

The second book is called: 100 YEARS OF STEAM LOCOMOTIVES, and was also written and edited by Lucas in 1958. It also contains authentic pictures and drawings of more than 200 Steam Locomotives from 14 Editions of the Locomotive Cyclopedia and the Railway Age files.

Each book is a hardbound edition and comes with its original dustcover.

CONDITION: Since the books are over 60 years old, the dust covers have a few rips to theier edges, but for the most part they are still in very good condition. The insides of these books are in excellent condition, considering the fact that they are a little over 60 years old. There is no writing inside or out, either.

MEASUREMENTS: 12" TALL X 8.75" WIDE X 1" DEEP. It has 272 pages.
