Hand order spun, hand woven, naturally dyed linen belt/sling bag

This is a linen wrist or belt bag (for Ren Faires, Larp, streetwear etc) that is hand spun, hand woven, naturally dyed, and sewn by me. The cord can be knotted shorter, or cut and shortened for your needs.
My goal in making bags is to go as historical and as natural as possible. I have made a promise to myself I will buy nothing to make these bags, except flax (it is called linen as soon as it is spun), things for dyeing such as cream of tartar and alum, and order maybe needles if I ever ran out. Any elements on bags are from supplies I already have on hand from years of various endeavors. My ideal is to tread as lightly on the earth as possible in making a living, and in making art.

This particular bag has cotton threads (from my supplies) used in the inkle woven band around the top crocheted portion of the bag. The crocheted part is also dyed with safflower, but dyed in a different batch and so it is lighter. I wove the band.
The rest of the bag is woven out of linen. the cording is handspun linen.
It has been dyed with safflower petals, believe it or not! Beautiful brilliant pink! I grow the safflower.

It measures approx 6" inches long 3 1/4" inches wide.

NOTE: natural dyes will fade over time (one of the beautiful things about them), especially if exposed to sunlight on a constant basis. Hand wash in cool water and hang to dry. Linen dries fast and is also know to become softer and softer with use.
