The perfume is old and no longer fresh. The perfume smells turned to my nose. The perfume is very old and no longer fresh. This perfume is about 60-70 years old and will absolutely NOT smell like it originally did all those years ago. Perfume DOES age. Perfumes over 3-10 years start to lose their freshness and may start to smell like alcohol as the perfume degrades. The older the perfume, the less it may smell like what you may remember. If you are looking to buy fresh smelling perfume, you may not want to buy vintage or antique.

Launched in 1939, it is an uplifting, powdery, floral oriental fragrance for women with woody notes layered over a fougere base.

Top notes: aldehydes, tangerine, mandarin, bergamot
Middle notes: lavender, violet, rosewood, gardenia, anise, spices
Base notes: labdanum, oakmoss, patchouli, vetiver, cedar, musk, vanilla, sandalwood, fougere accord


Discontinued, date unknown. Still being sold in 1975. Was reformulated and relaunched around 2005 or so.
