This horse stuffed animal was made by my grandmother for my father when he was a kid in the 1940s/1950s. Since then it has lived in my grandmother's house and then our house in storage, but now it needs to be seen again!
The horse is made from fabric, possibly cotton. The saddle, eyes, and cuffs are order made from felt. The tail and other "hair" is made from yarn. I'm guessing this was some sort of a kit that you could buy back then and then sew it together yourself as their are some details like the nose and eyelashes that look not handmade. The horse does not stand on it's own, but can be propped up to sit, as shown in the pictures.
The pony measurements are about 13 inches in length, 14 inches to the top of the head and 5 inches wide.
The horse shows his age a little bit, but is still in good condition. The biggest issue are the legs, as the stitching where the legs are sewn to the body are coming apart, and some were re-sewn together and they are also coming apart. There are also marks from age and use. Please see the pictures for more information.
