1980s Dean Santner Wood Rock Box - unsigned - my assumption is that this is a prototype from early in the production process, or pre copyrighting of the Santner name in 1981; identical in material (Koa wood), craftsmanship & detail as later, signed pieces. Handcrafted mid century modern style, with a expertly fitted hidden order drawer lined in purple felt for storing rings, jewelry, crystals, and all your small “whatnots” Beautiful example of American craftsmanship by artist/craftsman Dean Santner circa 1980s. Measures 4.25” tall x 5 1/8” x 4 3/8” Dean Santner (b 1946); recognized for original work in component furniture design, erognomic desk environments, decorative wood accessories, art furniture, and high quality craft production.
