Process
Handmade, and treated after light drying. Biscuit firing at about 1000 oC, glazed with a copper glaze, chest with a oxide wash (mainly iron oxide). Then in reduction fired to about 1220 oc (cone 8).

DFB-keramiek (DFB-ceramics) is the trade mark of the hand-shaped figurative ceramics by Daniel F. Bende. He designs and manufactures independently artistic stoneware in the traditional way. He creates authentic sculptures that defies the norm of the present day, "Not the tallest skyscraper or the smallest chip, but only the pure form of an honest piece shows the ingenuity and aesthetics of the human spirit".
