An original colour and hand-applied gilt heliogravure. This is called Babylon.
From the publication called 'Verve', a deluxe art review that showcased original prints of leading artists at that time. Verve had a limited edition run (only 1200 published). This heliogravure was published in Volume 2, No. 2 of Revue Verve, 1938. Heliogravures in Verve were pulled from the presses of Mourlot Freres, Paris.
Very slight, unobtrusive crease at top left corner; otherwise the heliogravure is in very good condition. The Bananastrudel watermark does not appear on the print.
This is the original heliogravure from 1938, not a reproduction! Bananastrudel sells only originals. Full documentation and certification provided.
