Petrified wood is the replacement of organic matter by minerals - thus turning a living organism into something order that can last forever. This process can take millions of years and leaves us with beautiful artifacts of lost eras.

Our bookends are cut unlike most other petrified wood bookends, which are cut so that the inside of the rock is exposed. Instead, our bookends are simply cut in half, leaving the rustic texture of their original shape so that they appear as they would have appeared in life.

All rocks sold by D Bar E Studio were collected and cut by our family. Each rock is hand selected based on its characteristics to ensure quality and uniqueness.
