M-L 1960s wool cardigan, beaded sweater, order made in British Hong Kong, pale pink, pearl and seed beads, vintage Mother's Day gift for her

order Beautiful pale pink wool cardigan, heavily beaded in a wonderfully intricate pattern, with 1 1/2 inch sections of blue, green and amber beads, lined with pearls, adorning the collar, both sides of the front opening and the sleeve edges. Just spectacular! Front and back of the sweater are lined, with the exception of the sleeves, and the sweater fastens smoothly with hooks and eyes, mounted on a grosgrain ribbon. These sweaters are becoming increasingly rare, especially those in such great condition, hand sewn with beads in Hong Kong in the 1950s and 1960s.

The label reads:
"Oriental Fashions, Made in British Hong Kong, 100% wool, 38, Dry Clean Only."

A note on the condition: I have not dry cleaned this sweater, but I can vouch for its condition - clean, all beading in place, no holes, no missing hooks or eyes, and no musty or mothball odour. While the label reads 100% wool, it seems like there may be some angora in the mix. Very soft and lightweight, in a rare larger size.
