House of God is a print from an original oil painting by Andrew Shows. His paintings are inspired by Southwest history, and the resulting prints project high, vibratory colors that allow the images an up-to-date contemporary appeal. This particular print is of a kiva, which is a men's underground ceremonial chamber. Many exist today on pueblos in New Mexico and Arizona and still are in use.
