(¸.• RUDYARD KIPLING:
Joseph Rudyard Kipling was an English novelist, short-story writer, poet, and journalist. He was born in British India, which inspired much of his work. Rudyard Kipling is one of the best-known of the late Victorian poets and story-tellers. Although he was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature in 1907, his political views, which grew more toxic as he aged, have long made him critically unpopular.

(¸.• BOOK SELECTION:
Land And Sea
Land and Sea Tales brings together a collection of Kipling's strikingly honest short stories. As with many of his other works, these tales take on the themes of bravery and honour in the face of adversity, and more often than not in the face of war - perhaps Kipling's greatest preoccupation. With an international cast of characters set in a host of exotic and dangerous locations, this rich selection includes such tales as 'An Unqualified Pilot', 'The Burning Of Sarah Sands' and 'An English School'. Originally written for the scout and guide groups that Kipling was so dedicated to, now some seventy years on, these tales are eminently suitable for readers of all ages.
