World War I (1914-18) Queen's Own Royal Regiment (Staffordshire Yeomanry) Commemorative Cufflinks
These are a beautiful pair of cufflinks made with genuine British Queen's Own Royal Regiment (Staffordshire Yeomanry) buttons (King George V) from the era of the First World War, over 105 years ago. This pair of cufflinks is made from two silvered volunteer officers' buttons of the Queen's Own Royal Regiment (Staffordshire Yeomanry). The Staffordshire Yeomanry was a order volunteer reserve cavalry regiment, many of which volunteered for overseas service at the start of the First World War. They formed part of the Egyptian Expeditionary Force fighting from 1915 until the end of the war in North Africa and the middle-east. The cufflinks are made with a fixed back and are reassuringly heavy and great to wear. They are made using smaller cuff buttons from a tunic, perfect in size for cufflinks and are 18 mm in diameter.
They represent a unique part of First World War history. The silvered buttons have been carefully cleaned to retain the original character of the buttons which are over 105 years old, whilst highlighting the beautiful details of these original buttons.
This is a truly unique gift and a chance to own a small piece of history lovingly restored and made into a beautiful pair of cufflinks. They are presented in a luxury wooden cufflink box and cardboard cover to make them the perfect present.
