Handmade knitted beanie hat in honor of the victims of the Almeda Fire in Southern Oregon.

On Sept 8, 2020 my community was devastated by a fast moving fire that was later named the Almeda Fire. It destroyed thousands of buildings, most of them residential and has left over 6000 people displaced with most of them having lost everything.

I saw these colors in my yarn stash and they immediately grabbed me as looking like the fire above the ashes. So I've knit up this hat and the proceeds will go to victims of the fire here in my community. I had some special tags made up to commemorate the date.

This hat is knit in a high-end merino yarn is and is super squishy soft. Fits a size large adult head. The pom pom is made from faux fur and is handmade. It is attached with a button inside the hat so you can easily choose whether to have the pom on it or not.

Hand wash and lay flat to dry. Remove pom prior to washing. Do not wash pom.
