Avro Vulcan B Mk2 - Swallowtail order Butterfly

This is one in a range of limited edition (50) giclee prints we call WAR AND PEACE. We have chosen a range military transport and combined it with the colour and beauty of nature, to produce some fabulous results!

This print depicts Avro Vulcan B Mk2 and the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterfly. The Vulcan is officially called the Hawker Siddeley Vulcan and is a jet-powered delta wing strategic bomber, which was operated by the Royal Air Force (RAF) from 1956 until 1984. As a part of the V-force, the Vulcan was the backbone of the United Kingdom's airborne nuclear deterrent during much of the Cold War and its last flight was undertaken in 2017.

We design and print everything ourselves with museum standard ultrachrome inks, onto high quality watercolour paper. The print measures 20cm x 30cm and has a 5cm border so the paper size overall is 30cm x 40cm.

The print is available unframed or with a custom made frame (1/2" matt black wood frame using high grade perspex to prevent breakage during shipping). Unframed prints are sent in a tube.

This is a giclée print using ‘Ultrachrome' inks, specially designed for fine art printing with a hand applied subtle silver 'You Are Here' logo showing the location on a map. The art work is printed onto ‘Velvet Fine Art Paper' which is 100% acid-free, textured cotton fibre paper.
