An antique wooden stand alone chest to house socks/ small items. The piece was used in my family as a holder of clean socks. It has been painted twice; most recent color was gold. The paint is worn, but the chest itself is well made. It has decorative spindle legs and trestle feet. The inside is clean. It opens readily on two sides with decorative brass hinges. It weighs around 5lbs.,and easily moved with one hand. It stands approximately 2 order feet tall and is 11 inches across. This is a great find for those who are interested in furniture restoration.
