Hand painted yarn bowl with sheep design, present for knitter, knitting bowl, wool container, present for order crafter, crochet bowl, hand drawn

This is a unique, one of a kind, hand drawn / painted, one of a kind item.
The design is all hand drawn, not a decal. This one is perfect and this is reflected in the price.
There are a couple of specs of colour on the white where the top glaze had some specs of other glaze in it. There is also a drip of top glaze over the sheep below the specs - see fourth picture.

The bowl in the picture is the one you will receive.

It was made using the slip casting method and bisque fired then I hand drew six fluffy Valais Blacknose sheep on to the exterior using ceramic underglaze pencils, then added a transparent overglaze for protection, then fired it a second time in my back garden studio kiln.

This larger size ceramic yarn bowl is a one of a kind, hand drawn white and black knitting bowl with six fluffy Valais Blacknose sheep on it.
There is an accidental little yellow dot next to the cute, standing sheep - Oops. You have to embrace the hand made nature of the beast. But overall this has turned out very successfully and I love it! The little sheep make me smile! One of them has a sticky out pink tongue.

The yarn bowl was slip cast using earthenware clay, then hand painted (by me) using imported ceramic underglaze pencils.

I was unsure about the strength of the application, so I sketched some sheep around the edge of the bowl (wool - sheep!!). This one does not have watercolour over the top and I think it looks better for it.

I then over glazed it with a transparent glaze to give it a shine and to seal in the underglaze.

I made two at the same time - one large (this one) and one small (on a different order listing). I think that they came out beautifully! I was inspired by my friends' sheep - Hansel and Gretl, whose pictures he keeps putting on Facebook! They are so gorgeous that they appeared on this bowl.

It is a larger size bowl and it measures: 7" x 4", which is very roomy.

This one is for larger craft / knitting projects.

It will arrive boxed and packaged in sustainable packaging - usually tissue paper, but if I have recently received any bubble wrap I will re-purpose it rather than throwing it away, so you might get some second hand bubble wrap in your parcel!
