Ethically sourced, handmade Bolga basket, made from durable elephant grass. Each basket is unique and woven by artisans in northern Ghana, taking up to 3 days at a time. We hand-select and ethically-source each basket, to select the most beautiful designs and to make sure weavers receive a fair wage for their skill.

This large, beautiful ‘pot' style Bolga basket has a black and cream leather handle and is a great addition to any home or a novel storage solution.

As every basket is unique and handmade, rather than mass or factory-made, it's normal to have little imperfections, which are all part of the basket's character and charm.

Our Bolga baskets come flat-packed to give you the cheapest delivery option. You can easily reshape the basket on arrival by spraying the straw with water (avoiding the leather handles). Allow the water to soak into the straw for a minute and then firmly mould the basket back into shape and allow to dry for order before use. We also try to avoid using plastic in our packaging.
