RARE MUSIC LADY BUXTON 2 TIER GOLD JEWELRY BOX
This mid-century style jewelry box is large enough to hold all your treasures! Its sleek design is perfect for everyone on your gift list.

PLAYS - "Sunrise, Sunset" from Fiddler on the Roof. Crank & music box work great. VERY RARE to find a Lady Buxton jewelry box that also plays music!

MEASURES 10 1/2"W X 7"D X 4"T

OUTSIDE - covered in a goldish vinyl with a marbled pattern. Gold tone pull to lift lid & 2 hinges on the back that open & close smoothly. Back is stamped "BUXTON Made in U.S.A." in gold tone, circa 1950's - 1960's. Back has the music box crank. Bottom is covered in gray vinyl.

INSIDE - The lid opens to underneath that is lined with yellow satin and a gorgeous design in the center in gold tone. This design with a horn, harp & flowers is common in Buxon jewelry boxes. Lower 2 tiers are both lined in yellow/gold velvet. Top tier has a section on the left for earrings, tie clips, cuff links, measures 5"W x 4.5"D. Right side measures 4"W x 4.5"D Bottom tier has 3 large sections, measures 10"W x 6.5"D x 1 1/2"H, tall enough for watches, bangle bracelets & other taller items. The music box is in the center section at the back of the bottom tier.

GREAT VINTAGE CONDITION - This mid-century jewelry box was kept in great shape! The vinyl on the outside has no rips or, tears. Top has a small water mark (not readily noticeable with the patterned vinyl). Some slight indentations on the top, again not noticeable unless it's in the right light. Front pull shows wear, still opens easily. The yellow satin under the lid is in perfect condition. Yellow velvet has no rips or tears. Some small spots on the open sections, may come out with further cleaning by new owner. The vinyl that order lines the back of the lower tier is coming loose at the very top, gluing left to new owner (not noticeable unless you look under the top tier, see last pic). PRICED ACCORDINGLY.
