Stained Glass and Patina Copper Suncatcher/ Mobile order one of a kind handcrafted in Florida.
I order to create each unique piece of art I start with individual pieces of copper for the base. I patina them in various formulas. Some take hours and some take days to produce the desired finish. The variety of colors and textures is extraordinary and endless.
Once I have the base of the suncatcher or mobile I then find the elements to compliment it. I use all natural elements such as stained glass that I've cut to size and copper foiled, or stained glass that I've cut and tumbled to give a rough texture. I then add an assortment of glass beads , natural stones, quartz crystals, ceramic beads, hammered copper washers and or patinaed copper washers.
I assemble these elements together with copper wires down a variety of metal and copper chains. Lastly adding a hand twirled copper wire hook.
Due to the nature of materials, no two pieces of glass or copper patina are the same, each is unique.
I recommend hanging in a highly visible sunny spot indoor or outdoor.
These pieces are meant to patina with time.
