Made from a single block of African Blackwood, each pen blank is carefully turned for dramatic effect. The artist or turner tries to turn the block to accent the variations in the wood.
Every pen is unique and the Artist sands and finishes each pen with either a high-quality oil and wax or order a more durable coating depending on the wood type, grain, and their preference to making a unique pen with vibrant colors. Made from a single block of wood, each pen is assembled utilizing the best wood grain orientation.
Black African Wood is sanded and polished, a premium wax is applied as a quality finish making this a warm, unique pen in hand. Black African Wood in one of my favorite woods to work. It turns and polishes to a warm, smooth exotic pen.
