Antique Celluloid Anthropomorphic Dapper Duck Christmas Easter Holiday Decor order Display Ornament Viscoloid 1900s Old Childs Toy Collectible

My order heart leapt when I adopted this old celluloid toy.

He's quite a dapper duck with his vest, bow-tie, top hat and cane.

Being made of the early celluloid plastic he has some damage. There is some splitting down the middle where the seams meet. Very minor denting on one side in his torso area. Some minor soiling from age.

Celluloid toys were often painted in the color of your choice, so these old pieces vary in color. This one has lovely pink hues. Another example can be viewed in the book: "Celluloid Dolls, Toys and Playthings."

A two-fer decor collectible- used it at Christmas. Hang it on your tree. Put in on your Easter table in the Spring.

Made by Viscoloid (early 1900s) right here in the USA, it has the maker's mark in the grass of base.

Has an old ornament cap at the top. I have included a Christmas ornament hook for you so it's ready to hang.

Measures 5 1/2" h.
