This pair of ladies fashion prints were framed and sold by the same store. There is a foil label on the back of each that states "Stamford - Lyman Hoyt's - Art Department - Connecticut". The first print on the left is in black and white. One woman holds a parasol. They look to be visiting with each other outside. There is a couple in the background on the right side. The frames are simple. They are black and gold. These prints are covered by glass. On the back of the left print, in pencil, is: "11371". This print is in pictures #1-6.
The print on the right is marked towards the bottom "Les Modes Parisiennes". This print is in black and white and was colored by hand in only a few places. There is a bit of green and blue. This pair of ladies are inside. This print does have the label on the back and in pencil is written "11370". This print is in pictures #1, 7-10.
These prints are 10-1/2" tall x just under 6-1/2" wide x 3/4" deep with the screw. These prints are c.1900 or even earlier.
As you can see from my pictures, there are nicks to the paint on the frames. The picture on the left has a couple of water stains on the bottom and also some white. This can be seen in picture #3. The Xs in that picture are crossing out the reflections. The order second print has a small tear that you can see in the last picture. The prints have yellowed through the years. These prints are well over 100 years old!!
