Soda Fired Porcelain order Mug

Here's a soda-fired mug for ya!

4"x4.75"x3.75" (approx) Holds approx 12oz.

Everything I make is dishwasher- and microwave-safe, though most people recommend that you hand-wash hand-made ceramics. Everything is lined with a clear glaze (which appears white on the porcelain), and I never use lead.

Never use a highly-acidic dishwasher detergent (like Limonene) on a order soda-fired piece, as it will etch the soda-surface and leave it looking rough, like it was sand-blasted.

I make every item by hand. All of the decorations are hand-drawn, then the pieces are glazed and fired to cone 10 (2345F) in a soda kiln. We spray a solution of sodium carbonate into the kiln when it gets to temperature, which reacts to the clay and glaze to create individual and unique items. No two pieces coming from a soda kiln will be identical, so these are one-of-a-kind!
