Hello and welcome to Busy Birthing Co! This product is a 132-page pdf version of a childbirth education class which covers body changes in the third trimester, the labor process including induction and augmentation (helping speed up labor if it started on its own), options for pain management (whether you are hoping for a medication-free delivery or 100% into having an epidural), delivery, breastfeeding, early postpartum and a few tips on baby safety. Also included is an interactive activity for you to do with your birth partner which helps identify potential responses in the heat of labor and how you can best order be supported. In the time of Covid-19, digital teaching is the new "thing" and I hope this guide can give you peace of mind if you have been unable to attend in-person childbirth classes this pregnancy!
I created Busy Birthing Co as a labor and delivery nurse with a passion for educating expecting parents on the joys of pregnancy, labor, and early parenthood. In addition to my job as a nurse, I have also trained through Lamaze International, previously taught college students Human Sexuality courses and worked as a childbirth education coordinator for a large hospital.
With this product, you will receive a pdf copy of the guide-I recommend printing it out so you have the information on hand and can make notes! You will also receive a pdf copy of the support activity. We will then chat about time availability and schedule a 2-hour Zoom (or FaceTime or Microsoft Teams) session where I will teach you and your birth partner all of the information within the guide, tailor teachings to your family's needs, and be available for live questions as they come up.
How to schedule a meeting: after purchasing your product, send me a list of days and times via Etsy Message (click the button that says "message seller") that work best for you and your birth partner over the next 2 weeks. I am really flexible and happy to do weekends/late evenings if that works best for you! I will reply within 2-3 days with potential options and verify with you what works.
