What is Rattan /rəˈtan/ the thin pliable stems of a palm, can be distinguished as a strong fibrous plant that is similar to bamboo. For production use, the skin is peeled away and utilized for weaving purposes. Often times, the core is not wasted and finds the use for different types of furniture. Rattan has been used for furniture because it is lightweight, durable, flexible, and attractive.

This bag is 100% handcrafted by local Filipino artists, each of the bags is created with love and hand worked, that makes it unique and one of a kind. The work is very precise and high quality.

Every APATRIBO pieces represent the value of people and respect for the environment. It is detailed curated by men or women of local communities from the Philippines that is very known for rich in natural resources.

WHAT MATERIALS?
APATRIBO ensures that its production process minimizes the impact on our environment by using a wide range of natural resources such as raffia, pandan leaves, twigs/wicker, coconut husk/leaves, straw, abaca and other dried leaves that are hand cut and woven by the artisans from the Philippines.

HOW DURABLE?
APATRIBO materials are the most commonly used by the local communities as their livelihood materials as well, such as hammocks, house roofs, sleeping mats and other household materials. This explains the durability of each material we used, it is pretty strong and sturdy. (but it is also a wear and tear for a long period of time)

WHAT KIND OF COLOR DYES?
APATRIBO uses a high-quality dyes' that will not fade, it is a lead-free dye and export-approved.

WHAT KIND OF LEATHER?
APATRIBO is against animal cruelty, that is why we are not embracing genuine leather goods. We use the highest grade of leatherette that is flexible and soft but durable.

WHAT KIND OF HARDWARE?
APATRIBO uses a high-quality silver or gold-tone hardware that doesn't rust easily.

WHAT ARE THE CARE INSTRUCTIONS?
Because of the natural materials used for the products, please avoid getting the items wet. All APATRIBO products are not waterproof, light water streaks are good but the items should not be soaked or washed by water.

HOW TO CLEAN MY BAG?
Because of its natural materials, they tend to produce a natural glossy coat, so there's NO need to apply any product on it. Always store in a dry place but not too hot, or when not in use, please restore it inside the dust bag and use a dry cloth to wipe away dust.
