Upcycled Tote Bag: Groovy bag, funky bag, shoulder order bag, upcycled bag, floral bag, barkcloth bag

I designed this bag myself! It's perfect for any season and has plenty of room for all of your essentials (phone, purse, keys, makeup) and is big enough to take to work.

This bag is completely one of a kind, never to be repeated!

I made it by upcycling a fabulous 1950s/60s barkcloth curtain featuring a Chinese Lamps design in teal, blue and purple. I teamed it with a groovy lurex remnant...who doesn't love a bit of glitter?! My finishing touch is the fabulous vintage belt buckle on the front flap (which secures with a magnetic clasp closure). I chose it for the etched lines that mirror those in the stylised hanging order lamps. It's a perfect match, don't you think?!

The lining is an upcycled vintage floral cotton sheet. I've included a large internal pocket (with barkcloth top panel detail) for your phone and keys.

This bag measures approximately 12 x 15 x 3.5 inches (30 x 38 x 8 cm), and has 1 inch (2.5cm) wide straps approximately 23 inches (58cm) long.

Main bag panels are lined with light weight wadding for structure.
